Clean only the copier areas identified for routine user maintenance: exterior surfaces, platen glass and accessible document-feeder glass, using the manufacturer-approved method. Power down as directed, avoid spraying liquid into the machine and leave internal rollers, electrical areas and toner contamination to trained service staff.

Follow the model manual and provider instructions. Use a soft lint-free cloth and the approved cleaner applied to the cloth, not directly to the device. Scan lines often come from a small mark on the feeder glass, so inspect it carefully. Remove paper dust from accessible areas without using compressed air that can drive debris inside.
Do not touch hot fuser components, photoconductors or transfer surfaces, and do not improvise with solvents. Record recurring contamination or image defects and request service if cleaning the approved surfaces does not resolve them.
